Terms

Effective November 2, 2026. These are the terms between you and Seth Davis for Footloot. Apple's standard licence for apps (the Licensed Application End User License Agreement) applies too.

The game

Footloot is a collecting game played on real streets: finds appear on a map, you walk to them and open them, and you collect, craft and trade what's inside. The game changes over time, and so may what it offers.

Out walking

Watch where you walk, keep to public ground, obey the law and the people whose land you're near, and never play while driving. A find, a stash or a tag on the map is not an invitation onto anyone's property. You play at your own risk.

Coins and the pass

Coins and the monthly pass are bought through the App Store. They're a licence to use them in the game: they have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be transferred outside the game. Apple's rules decide refunds. If Apple refunds coins you've spent, your balance goes below zero and the game's coins you earn pay it back. The pass renews monthly until you cancel it in your Apple ID's settings.

Accounts

Each way of signing in (Apple, Google, email) is its own account. You may have more than one; they can't be merged or joined. Keep your sign-in to yourself.

Names, tags and conduct

Display names and tags are seen by other collectors. Don't use a name or a tag to insult, threaten or impersonate anyone, or to say anything hateful or sexual. Some names are blocked. Any collector can report a name; a reported name is hidden until it's changed, and repeated or serious abuse can close an account. Don't cheat: no spoofed locations, no automation, no exploiting bugs.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms. Either way, what's left in the account (coins, items, the pass's time) has no value outside the game and isn't refunded by us.

Warranty and liability

The game is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for anything that happens to you or your things while you play.
